I offer supervision to suit your needs, to fit in with your practice in a place and at a time to suit you (within reasonable limits). I am based in Kettering, Northamptonshire but we can work online using WhatsApp or Teams. 

I have passed the CPCAB Supervision qualification, which means I am qualified to supervise other counsellors and therapists. This qualification is recognised by BACP and is accredited by the Office of the Qualifications & Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) into the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). I am an NCS approved supervisor. I have been in private practice since 2007, and have experience of working with a wide range of clients and issues.

Individual Supervision 

I can provide supervision for the individual counsellor at my office in Kettering or online. Depending on your needs we can meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly for an hour or 1.5 hours.

I charge £45 per hour or £60 for a 1.5 hour session. 

Group Supervision 

I can provide supervision for groups of two or three therapists and depending on your needs we can meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly for an hour or 1.5 hours in my Kettering office or online.

The fee depends on the number of therapists in the group, so for three therapists it would be £20 each for 1.5 hours group supervision. Please note that BACP guidelines mean that you can only claim half the group hours for your own supervision needs. However, you can claim half an hour for CPD purposes.

 Agency Supervision

I provide supervision for the counsellor who works in an agency or organisation at my office in Kettering or online. Depending on your needs we can meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly for an hour or 1.5 hours.

The difference is that with an agency there (usually) is a chain of command and possibly agency protocols that need to be followed. I would need to have a copy of the protocols and know who you report to at the agency.

For fully qualified counsellors I charge £45 per hour or £60 for a 1.5 hour session. Student counsellors working on a placement in an agency can get a reduced fee.

Ethical Frameworks

I work both as a counsellor and supervisor to the BACP Ethical Framework (BACP ethical framework). If you are a member of BACP, you will also subscribe to these values and ethics. However, if you are a member of another professional body, you may have a different Framework that you use as a guide to your work. In this case, we can discuss the variances and come to an agreement on how we can work together in supervision.
