Walk and Talk

Walk and talk simply combines exercise with talking therapy. The counselling room can sometimes feel a little constrictive, and going to a different place to talk can have great benefits.

Walking is known to promote the health of the mind, body and spirit, and walking in nature often brings a greater sense of connection and understanding.

Near to my practice in Ringstead is Kinewell Lake, which is a peaceful and calm place to visit. It takes approximately 50 minutes to do a circuit of the lake (at a good steady pace), which is where I will take my clients. There is a car park (but no toilets). We can also go for a walk in Kettering on Tuesdays or Fridays.

Walking Therapy is available only in daylight hours, so in Winter there will be fewer available times. The weather is a factor as well - if conditions are bad we would need to reconvene indoors instead.

If you are interested in Walk and Talk, please give me a call or send an email. WT clients will need to have a consultation beforehand. You will need to be reasonably fit, own a good pair of wellies or other similar boots, as the path around the lake does get quite wet and muddy at time, and wear appropriate clothing for the weather/conditions.

Cost is £45.00 per session - terms and conditions apply, which we would discuss at a consultation. For details, please call or email.
